Medication

Question:
We recently bought some Koi at a pet shop, do we need to medicate them for worms, flukes etc.. and if so what do you recommend and how often?

Answer:
I really don't recommend buying koi or goldfish in a pet store. They really don't quarantine their fish. We start medicating our koi and goldfish as soon as they are hatched. First while the eggs haven't hatched proform C. After hatching we do water changes daily. Test every day for ammonia. If there is a trace of ammonia do at least a 80% water change.
