QUESTION:
I have two 16 week old ferrets; 1 boy and 1 girl, when the boy plays with Sasha
he is very rough with her ears. Afterwards her ears are very raw and sore.
What if anything can I do to help her out - other than try and keep him away
from her ears?
ANSWER:
You should put some Vaseline, or an antibiotic ointment
(if they are open sores) on her ears, he will slide
off of them, PLUS if you have some BITTER APPLE you
can put some on your finger and rub in her fur below
the ears and on top of her head, he will not like
the taste. DO NOT SPRAY as you must
not get in eyes.
