QUESTION:
I'm making an appointment for my ferret but thought I'd
check into this in the meantime. I have an albino
ferret that has developed a sort of bulb at the end
of her tail. It doesn't seem to cause her distress
but she obviously needs to be seen. I was looking
at it when I bathed her and you can see veins running
through it. Have you ever heard of anything like
this before?
ANSWER:
It sounds as if your ferret may have a CHORDOMA which
is quite common in ferrets and can be easily removed.
Perhaps you should read about it just incase this is
what it is:
www.miamiferret.org
Go to HEALTHCARE and
then put in a search for CHORDOMAS.
